SING GREGORIAN CHANT - THE JOURNEY

We are privileged to be able to offer another Chant Day in the special and enchanting venue of Worcester Lodge, designed by the 18th century architect William Kent.  The course is structured around the monastic hour services, beginning with simple recitation in English leading to Latin chant.

We will sing chant for the Journey, using especially the rich variety of music for the Easter season with its repeated descriptions of travelling and destinations both in literal and in spiritual terms. In particular we shall sing part of the 13th century French liturgical drama ‘The Pilgrims to Emmaus’
It is open to anyone, women and men, singers and non-singers, all are welcome. The day concludes with performance of a chant sequence ‘The Journey’ and Compline.
