The workshop is open to everyone. Workshop sessions prepare participants to perform Vespers in the cathedral using 10th century chant composed in Worcester in honour of St Oswald. This is the Three Choirs Festival Evensong for the day, and is led by the five singers of Opus Anglicanum as cantors. The Anglo-Saxon chant for St Oswald was composed in Worcester Abbey in the late 10th century and was sung at Worcester where he was Bishop from 961 until his death in 992. It is preserved uniquely in the 13th century antiphoner Worcester Cathedral Library MS F160 from which it has been edited specially for this workshop.

During the Three Choirs Festival Week is an exhibition of inscriptional work by John Rowlands Pritchard, comprising some on glass and stone together with hand painted inscriptions on canvas panels featuring texts on Angels, Music, and from S T Coleridge ‘The Rime of the Ancient Mariner’.  The exhibition is in the King’s School, immediately next to the main ticket office for the Festival.
